NewsMap
This subscriber-only version has more features than NewsMap Lite and you get access to all the news in detail.  Clicking on the icon reveals a wealth of extra information including all the uncommon birds as well as the rarer birds, when the message was updated , the time the birds were present as well as photos of the birds if we have any.  This version runs within virtually any standard internet browser and does not require a high spec computer or broadband to run and there is no special download required.

NewsMap Plus

The top of the range NewsMap this subscriber-only version utilises Google's 3D mapping software, Google Earth.  Unlike any other birdnews online service, NewsMap Plus constantly updates itself with the very latest breaking birdnews every few minutes, meaning that you will always know what is around with minimal effort.  With NewsMap Plus you can also get driving directions to the site.  To get the most from NewsMap Plus your computer needs to be fairly new and you need download the Google Earth software from Google, which is a free download.
